The Carson High School softball team won their first L.A. City Section softball championship on Friday May 27th at Cal State Northridge. The Carson Lady Colts took on the top seed El Camino Real Conquistadores and won 6-3. Going into the championship game, Carson had held their past four opponents to scoreless games. It didn’t take long for El Camino Real to break that streak, scoring two runs in the first inning. But with Carson pitcher Crystal Maas stepping up her game by not allowing any hits after the fourth inning and El Camino Real committing six errors, the Colts came back to win and take home the trophy. Congratulations ladies, we are proud of you!
