The Alliance of Asian/ Pacific Administrators (AAPA) held their annual Scholarship Award Banquet on Wednesday May 18th. Students from all over LAUSD were honored by AAPA with a $2,000 scholarship to help them with their college journey that they will embark on this fall. Two of the honored students are Casey T. Ellis and Tina Tran from Board District 7.
Casey T. Ellis currently attends King/ Drew Magnet High School and will be attending the University of Southern California (USC). Tina Tran currently attends Carson High School and will be attending the University of California Irvine (UCI). Both students were thankful and grateful to have been able to receive their scholarship. We will like to extend or deepest gratitude to AAPA for working so hard to be able to provide hope for our students. You remind us that helping our students succeed in their future is very important because without them, there is no future to look forward to.
